GYF Volunteer opportunities
Griffins Youth Foundation relies on parents/families to volunteer to off-set the cost in areas where we might otherwise need to pay such as coaches, skate sharpening, announcers or our concession stand. Every family is expected to give back in some way throughout the season.
Six volunteers are needed for every home Griffins game to sell raffle tickets. There is no cost involved in attending the games.
Tickets to the game & parking passes are provided to each volunteer.
We need over 25 refs each week to cover all of our games! Refs do not need to be USA Hockey Certified in order to ref @ GYF. Parents and Players are welcome to volunteer! (Refs in Adams Division & up are paid $25/game).

We need 2 people for every single game each week to help in the booth!
The Community Room needs many volunteers and supplies for all of the fun activities that happen each season!
Whether it's 15 minutes to tidy the room or several hours of playing games and prepping crafts for upcoming weeks, any help is appreciated!
GYF's concession stand is a significant fundraiser for the Foundation. Every penny earned from sales goes directly into the program from donated food items sold throughout the season on Saturdays.
18 volunteers are needed each Saturday to run the concession stand!
We often need general help through out the season! Those random odd jobs will be posted here and in our weekly newsletter!
Tip-a-Griff Help!
Each year, Griffins players and coaches visit local restaurants to serve food and wait tables, with tips and proceeds benefiting the Griffins Youth Foundation. Over its 16 editions, Tip-A-Griffin has raised more than $126,000 for various local charities.
There will be a silent auction with players aprons included, raffle prizes & more- be sure to stop out and show your support! We are in need of players/families to come help with the raffle & other things! Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!

The 2026 Great Skate will run from Saturday January 17 at 10pm, until Sunday January 18 at 10pm. This event is so much fun for everyone! But- it also requires LOTS of help from GYF families to be successful!
We will need many volunteers to help with this event! More details and a sign up will be released closer to the event date!
Star Wars Night Help!
2026 Star Wars night @ the Van is Saturday March 14th! We will need of volunteers to help assist with the photo booth, selling light sabers and bobble heads and escorting the costumed characters!
