GYF Volunteer opportunities
Griffins Youth Foundation relies on parents/families to volunteer to off-set the cost in areas where we might otherwise need to pay such as coaches, skate sharpening, announcers or our concession stand. Every family is expected to give back in some way throughout the season.
Six volunteers are needed for every home Griffins game to sell raffle tickets. There is no cost involved in attending the games.
Tickets to the game & parking passes are provided to each volunteer.
The Community Room needs many volunteers and supplies for all of the fun activities that happen each season!
Whether it's 15 minutes to tidy the room or several hours of playing games and prepping crafts for upcoming weeks, any help is appreciated!
We need over 25 refs each week to cover all of our games! Refs do not need to be USA Hockey Certified in order to ref @ GYF. Parents and Players are welcome to volunteer! Refs in Adams Division & up are paid $25/game.
GYF's concession stand is a significant fundraiser for the Foundation. Every penny earned from sales goes directly into the program from donated food items sold throughout the season on Saturdays.
18 volunteers are needed each Saturday to run the concession stand!
If you have a love for the game, great attention to detail, or a voice that deserves to be heard, we want YOU!
We need 2 people for every single game each week to help in the booth!
We often need general help through out the season! Those random odd jobs will be posted here and in our weekly newsletter!

This year, the Great Skate will run from Saturday January 18 at 10pm, until Sunday at 10pm. This event is so much fun for everyone! But- it also requires LOTS of help from GYF families to be successful!
We are in need of families to help load the trailer at Griff’s Icehouse, families to unload at Rosa Parks, someone to sit and watch the tent through out the day Saturday, and people to help set up and run the concession stand!
Star Wars Night Help Needed!
Star Wars night @ the Van is Saturday March 1st! We are in need of volunteers to help assist with the photo booth, selling light sabers and bobble heads and escorting the costumed characters!
